Healthy Kids Running Series Week 2 in Binghamton

Week 2 of Healthy Kids Running Series in Binghamton brought classic Upstate New York spring weather to Otsiningo Park with cold rain, wet grass, and a smaller but still spirited turnout. Even with the tough conditions, the kids who showed up brought energy, toughness, and plenty of memorable moments to the course.

Splashes, Grit, and Great Effort

Some of the boys charged straight through a huge puddle and sent water flying, turning the rainy day into part of the fun. In the mile, one girl lost both of her shoes and a sock but kept going and finished, while another runner lost a shoe, put it back on, chased the leader down, and still won. Week 2 was a reminder that youth running is about more than perfect weather. It is about resilience, fun, and learning to keep going.
