Start with where you listen. Underwater playback and ordinary wireless listening need different checks, even when two products share the OpenSwim name.

OpenSwim uses stored audio

Shokz identifies the original OpenSwim as an MP3 swimming headphone without Bluetooth compatibility. Prepare compatible audio files before your session. Phone pairing is not part of this model's operation.

OpenSwim Pro adds two modes

The manufacturer describes OpenSwim Pro with Bluetooth for use on land and MP3 playback underwater. The presence of Bluetooth does not turn underwater listening into phone streaming. Choose the playback mode for the environment.

Check the exact version

Read the product listing and current manual for storage, supported files, battery life, water limits and care. Keep the original and Pro specifications separate. Compare the fit with the goggles and cap you expect to use.

Prepare before arriving at the pool

Load and test a short playlist at home, learn the physical controls and check the selected mode. Use the manufacturer's charging and care instructions for the exact model. A few minutes of setup keeps a first swim from becoming a file-transfer session.
