Saucony Guide 18: Stability for everyday miles, now $99.88

Regularly $150.00 • Save $50.12 (33%) on available sizes in men's and women's Guide 18.

Updated October 8, 2026. The Guide 19 is now available, but the Guide 18 remains a compelling previous-generation option for runners and walkers who can find their fit.

Why pay full price for a dependable stability trainer if the previous generation still fits your feet and your training? The Guide 18 combines Saucony's Center Path Technology with balanced PWRRUN cushioning for smooth, supported daily running and walking. The current clearance price makes it worth a look alongside the newer Guide 19.

Who is the Saucony Guide 18 for?

The Guide 18 is a supportive daily trainer for people who appreciate a broad platform and a guided, centered ride. It makes sense for easy runs, steady everyday mileage, walking, and long days on your feet. Support is a comfort and fit choice—not everyone needs a stability shoe, and no shoe can guarantee injury prevention.

Why it feels stable without a traditional post

Center Path Technology uses asymmetric geometry, high sidewalls, and a broad base to help guide foot placement and transitions. Rather than feeling like an old-fashioned hard medial wedge, the platform aims to provide more integrated support. Full-length PWRRUN cushioning and a PWRRUN+ sockliner balance step-in comfort and durability.

The engineered mesh upper provides breathability, the padded heel collar improves step-in comfort, and XT-900 carbon rubber protects higher-wear outsole areas. The published Guide 18 specification includes a 6 mm heel-to-toe drop and a 39 mm heel / 33 mm forefoot stack.

Guide 18 vs. Guide 19: Which one should you choose?

One model is not automatically better for everyone. Someone who already loves how the Guide 18 fits may be delighted by the clearance price; someone who needs a different size, width or fit may be better served by the Guide 19. If possible, try both at a Confluence Running location and compare how your foot settles into the heel, midfoot and toe box.

How does Guide compare with Ride or Hurricane?

The Saucony Ride is a more neutral everyday-training option, while Guide is built around a structured, guided platform. The Hurricane targets a different, more cushioned support experience. These families overlap for some shoppers, but none should be treated as an automatic one-for-one replacement: compare actual fit and underfoot feel.

How should the Guide 18 fit?

Start with enough toe room, secure heel hold, and comfortable volume through the middle of the foot. Some Guide 18 variants are offered in standard and wide widths, but clearance stock is limited by size, color, and location. Our Dynamic Footwear Specialists can help you compare widths, fit, support preferences, and comfort in person.

Clearance return reminder: A clearance shoe can have different return conditions from a full-price shoe. Check the Confluence Running return policy before purchase. Always check the actual selectable size and width on the product page.

Is the Saucony Guide 18 still worth buying?

Yes—when it fits and the remaining selection works for you. You still get its Center Path guided geometry, everyday PWRRUN cushioning, and supportive platform at roughly one-third off the original $150 price. If the right fit isn't available, move to the Guide 19 rather than compromising on size.
